Since September 2008, ELLE offers environmental dust monitoring equipment produced by the German company Grimm Aerosol Technik GmbH in all three Baltic countries. GRIMM instruments are designed for the long-term outdoor operations to continuously measure the dust mass concentration of particles PM10,PM2.5,and PM1 , simultaneously collecting meteorological data. The measurement method – light scattering, or laser spectroscopy – is equivalent to the reference method and conforms to the regulatory framework of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union.
The following models of equipment are offered:
Portable Continuous Dust Monitor and Spectrometer unit 11-E (formerly called EDM 107) is designed for simultaneous measurement of particles PM10, PM2.5,and PM1 concentration, and can be also equipped with a 163 Outdoor housing – standalone container with a heater, an airflow dryer and various sensors for measuring temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and wind direction. The model EDM 164 is nearly identical to the above model 163, but the 11-E is a fixed installation and thus has a large external pump for 24/7 continuous operation.
Continuous Environmental Fine Dust 19" Rack Monitor (model EDM 180) is designed for continuous unattended automatic measurements of PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 concentrations, suitable for its placing in standard air quality monitoring equipment containers and for incorporation in the regional or national monitoring networks.
Transportable Environmental Dust Monitor (model EDM 365 ) is a fully automatic appliance for the continuous measurements of PM10, PM2.5 and PM11 concentrations, combined with an outdoor container with a heater, an airflow dryer and sensors for determination of temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and wind direction.
Atmospheric Research Outdoor Wide Range Aerosol Spectrometer (WRAS model EDM 665) is an atmospheric research system which has a capability to provide measurements of the concentration and particle count by determining the size distribution of aerosols ranging from 5 nm to 30 μm in over 70 different size channels. This equipment is suitable for long-term outdoor operations.
ELLE offers training and advice for GRIMM equipment users, as well as in-warranty service and post-warranty maintenance. The equipment is available for rent or for ordering long term measurements of PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 particles on the customer’s site.
ELLE also ensures delivery of indoor dust monitoring equipment produced by Grimm Aerosol Technik GmbH and measurement devices for nanoparticles.
